Asia Williams was a bully. He liked to push
around other children
and make them feel afraid. He was an
unhappy twelve year old.
Earlier that year Asia’s father had lost his
life serving his country in Iraq.
Asia felt cheated. He was upset that other
children had fathers.
So he picked on them, and when he was
angry he beat them up.
His mother Lydia did the best she could to
make him understand and comfort him.
But Asia’s anger burned strong inside. His
excellent grade
average fell to barely passing. No matter
what his mother, teachers or
other concerned friends did, Asia could not
be reached. There were
days he was so unbearable that the school
sent for his mother
to take him home.
