Sites: we are currently seeking sites in lower Manhattan and Chelsea.
multi-artist:
Why- Because Art works in movements and collective thought can communicate powerfully.
Who- Open to working arts professionals and graduate students-especially those working/living in Lower
Manhattan and neighboring areas.
While working with artists for whom drawing is a primary medium is most important to us, we are also
interested in drawing relating to painting and 3D art - as well as drawing relating to dance, architecture or
other areas. Investigative, creative drawings from individuals in the sciences or math-related fields or other
areas are also welcome.
multi-image:
A few or more images from each artist to explore the chosen concept. Artists will work with curators to install.
Works will be displayed in a multi-tiered layout with Artist and curator text. Works do not need to be framed.
Image/texts may also be included in online and print catalog pamphlets/posters for free distribution or sale.
Drawings can be of any size and on various materials (paper, plastic, vellum, etc) using dry and wet media.
Themes:
These should be concepts that artists are currently exploring-artists should not make work to fit themes-
Artists can suggest themes as well as bring other artists' work to our attention.
All exhibits will involve some open-call aspect.
Current themes include-
Spatial concerns / Nature / Body / Portrait / Formlessness / Multiplicity /
Metamorphosis / Lifecycle / Artificial / Urban / Popular Culture
